Vertical Ladder w/Safety Cage
The Vertical Ladder with Safety Cage allows for safe access between the Ground Level & the 2nd Floor (21' approx.).
The Safety Cage also allows for Vertical Confined Space Rescue, Advancing Hose Lines, and as a secondary means of access/egress.
Just like the Baclony/Instructor's Platform, there is an Access gate on the 2nd Floor to prevent falling into the Vertical Ladder shaft.

2nd Balcony/Instructor's Platform
The 2nd Balcony added above the existing Balcony, which creates more realistic apartment scenarios.

Realistic
The Window Prop simulates a realistic window opening, approximately 28"W x 36"T, which is secured to the Affordable Drill Tower 2nd level. Similar in size to the "Denver Drill" Prop, the Window Prop is constructed using pressure-treated lumber.
Entering/Exiting From A Ladder
The Window Prop allows you to train on entering and exiting a window from a ladder (ground or aerial). Whether it's for rescue, fire attack, or ventilation, every fire department will be operating above ground level and must be proficient.
Outriggers
Increase Your Footprint!
The Outriggers increase overall footprint of the Affordable Drill Tower by 20’ in length and width. With the Outriggers installed, your footprint is 33’ wide by 38’ long.
Great For Hoseline Stretches
On Side 1, the dual 4’ wide by 10’ long Outriggers extend the 1st floor, giving firefighters more room for hose practice, while leaving the center bay unobstructed for rappelling.
Exceeds OSHA
The California Drill Tower already exceeds the base to height requirement as set forth by OSHA and CAL-OSHA, but with the addition of the Outriggers, not only has your options for training scenarios increased, but your Affordable Drill Tower is even more stable than ever.
Through-The-Floor
Sides 2 and 4 are both 8’ wide by 10’ long and each has a segmented floor that is perfect for through-the-floor, or vertical rescue scenarios.
Over The Top
Side 3 is similar to Side 1, and is perfect for Ladder Operations, and acts as an off-set mezzanine to the balconies. You can span the two Outrigger Bays, horizontally with a ladder to simulate moving from rooftop to rooftop or spanning load-bearing walls to access a trapped fire fighter.
Create A Hallway
The Outriggers add 20’ of length to the ground floor, which can be enclosed to create hallway, which adds a new dimension to stretching hose lines and moving equipment.
